Emergency, Effective Communication in Social Networks

Workshop Description:

The exchange of communication between a company and its audiences is essential in emergency situations. Social networks have become the most far-reaching digital medium in recent times and are the main tool to communicate the process before, during and after any eventuality.

This short course explains how to make good use of social media in an emergency. Through social networks, relevant information is provided on the situation of the company, strategic responses to any situation presented and current and precise information on how the emergency is being handled.

General Objective

It is expected that at the end of the short course, the participants will be able to make good use of their networks and maximize their online presence before, during and after an emergency, making their publications relevant and directed and consoled with the reality of their audiences.

  • Use of the main social platforms to create communication strategies for social networks.
  • Optimize the business profile in each of the networks.
  • Strategies and creation of emergency content for each social network.
  • Identify emergency spokespersons (characteristics)

Workshop Procedure

As part of the procedures of this course, the syllabiary will be provided digitally through emails. You will be assigned homework and assignments that put into practice what was discussed in each class, which will be a vital part of completing the course. Requests will be in class and/or by email. All works must be sent by email to evidence the work done.
