Reseña/Biosketch:
Wilfredo Otaño obtained his PhD in Materials Sciences and Engineering at Penn State University. He currently is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Puerto Rico on the campus of Cayey and Mayagüez. His current research interest is in thin film coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering, ultra-sensitive sensor devices for the detection of noxious gases, and the synthesis of metal nanoparticles for applications in electronics, energy, catalysis, sensors, and optics.
Preparación Académica/Education:
Ph.D. in Materials Sciences and Engineering from Penn State University.
M.S. and B.S. in Physics from UPR Río Piedras.
