- Receive and consider the files of candidates forwarded to the Governing Board Search and Consultation Committee.
- Survey the opinion of the University community of the unit through any methods as may be appropriate and suitable. Interview applicants by means not limited to public hearings and interviews.
- Assist the Academic Senate in evaluating the candidates and their respective academic and administrative plans so as to formulate the appropriate recommendations.
- Draft the report to be submitted for the consideration and approval of their Academic Senate. The report must contain the evaluation rubric for all applicants.
Each Academic Senate will recommend between two and three candidates and will forward their recommendations to the Governing Board Search and Consultation Committee.
Each Academic Senate will close the consultation no later than 45 calendar days as of the date the Governing Board forwarded the candidates’ files to begin the consultation process, and will submit their report to the Special Governing Board Search and Consultation Committee no later than May 15, 2025, at 4:00 p.m..
The Governing Board urges all faculty and non-teaching staff, the administrative/executive sector, their organizations, as well as and the Student Councils, to work with the Academic Senates to integrate their activities with those of the Senates, including the drafting of their unit’s report.
Close of Consultation
The Governing Board Search and Consultation Committee will evaluate the reports submitted by the Academic Senates and interview the candidates, which interviews will be streamed online. The committee will render its own report with recommendations to the full Governing Board using a rubric created for such purposes.
