UPR Law

The Office of the Executive Secretary of the Board of Governors prepared this version of the 1966 Organic Law of the University of Puerto Rico , using the original official texts of the 1966 Law and the laws that amended it. We incorporated in this version all the amendments made to the Law in order to facilitate its consultation. For legal purposes, refer to Title 18 of the Annotated Laws of Puerto Rico (L.P.R.A.) or to the original official texts of the referred laws.

Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan and Conceptual Model approved by Certification No. 16 2023-2024 reaffirms the mission, core values, and vision of the UPR, as well as its commitment to continuous assessment and improvement, and to the highest standards of quality, ethics, and institutional integrity. The Plan expresses the will to innovate and transfer academic, research, and knowledge creation activities, as well as technological structures, joining forces with the private and government sectors to strengthen the educational experience, while contributing to the development of Puerto Rico and strengthening ties with the international community.

Fiscal Plan

The Fiscal Plan is committed to compliance, fiscal and financial responsibility, providing a long-term path towards the sustainability of the UPR. The initiatives cover all administrative actions, initiatives and pending fiscal and financial matters that provide a resolution to the University in the short and long term.
